Where it works

Is cladding right for your property?

Cladding can modernise a property and help protect the structure underneath from the British weather. These are the jobs it usually comes up for.

Timber cladding that needs painting again

Fibre-cement gives you the look of painted timber without the regular maintenance that comes with the real thing.

A dated or tired elevation

New boards across a gable end, a dormer or a whole elevation change how the property reads from the street.

A wall taking the worst of the weather

Cladding, fitted over a breather membrane and a ventilated cavity, protects the structure behind it.

Old timber or plastic cladding coming off

We take the old boards away, check the structure underneath and put the new system on properly.

Your options

Our cladding options

Three ways to clad, each with a choice of colours and finishes. We’ll help you pick the right one for your property and bring samples to the survey.

Grey uPVC shiplap cladding on a gable end

uPVC cladding

Best for: An attractive, practical and affordable way to improve your property’s exterior.

An affordable way to modernise an elevation, in white, contemporary greys or realistic wood-effect finishes.

  • Low-maintenance and easy to clean
  • Resistant to rot and corrosion
  • Several colours and profiles
  • Lightweight and durable
  • Suits gable ends, dormers, extensions and whole elevations

Composite

Best for: The look of painted timber, without the painting.

Fibre-cement boards that hold their colour and shrug off the weather. We fit two systems: James Hardie® Plank, a weatherboard with a cedar texture or a smooth finish, and Cedral Click, which interlocks to give a flat fçade with no visible fixings. Both come in 21 colours, horizontal or vertical.

  • The look of painted timber
  • Durable fibre-cement construction
  • Low-maintenance ColourPlus™ finish
  • Resistant to moisture, rot and pests
  • Concealed fixings on Cedral Click
  • A2-s1, d0 fire classification (Hardie Plank)
  • Manufacturer’s 15-year warranty on Hardie Plank, subject to its terms and correct installation

Timber

Best for: A natural timber finish, where the grain is the point.

Real timber boards, fitted over a breather membrane and a ventilated batten cavity like any other system. Timber moves and weathers, so it needs re-treating to hold its colour — we’ll tell you straight what it will ask of you before you choose it.

  • A natural timber finish
  • Can be stained, oiled or left to silver
  • Fitted over membrane, battens and a ventilation cavity
  • Replacement of old or rotten timber cladding
  • Needs re-treating to keep its colour

What you get

Complete cladding installations

We clad complete external walls, gable ends, dormer cheeks, extensions, porches, garden rooms, outbuildings, commercial properties and new-build developments, and replace old timber or plastic cladding. A good installation is more than fixing boards to a wall — depending on the property and the system, the work can include:

  • Removing and disposing of existing cladding
  • Inspecting the structure underneath
  • Replacement timber work where required
  • A suitable breather membrane
  • Treated timber or system-compatible battens
  • A correctly formed ventilation cavity
  • Insulation upgrades where specified
  • Manufacturer-approved trims and fixings
  • Detailing around windows, doors and roof junctions
  • Matching fascias, soffits and guttering
  • Scaffolding and waste removal where included in the quote

Watch out for cheap cladding quotes

Most of a cladding job is what you never see again: the breather membrane, the treated battens, the ventilation cavity behind the boards and the manufacturer’s own trims and fixings. That’s where a low price usually comes from — so ask any installer exactly what their quote includes.

How it works

Your cladding, step by step

Four steps, and you know what’s happening at every one of them.

  1. 01

    Free survey

We come out, look at the walls, check what is behind any existing cladding and take photos, so you can see what we see.

  2. 02

    A written quote

You get the options in plain English and a written, itemised price. No pressure, and no obligation to go ahead.

  3. 03

    The work, done properly

Scaffold up where it is needed, old cladding off, the structure underneath checked, then membrane, battens and your new boards — with the site kept tidy from start to finish.

  4. 04

    Final check and sign-off

We check every detail before we leave, clear the site and hand over any guarantee paperwork.

Our guarantee

Up to 25-year guarantee*

Qualifying new roof systems come with a guarantee of up to 25 years on workmanship and materials, depending on the system. The exact length and terms for your job are written into your quote before you agree to anything. We only guarantee full new systems: a repair fixes one part of an older roof, so we tell you plainly what it will and won’t do.

  • Up to 25 years on workmanship and materials
  • Qualifying new systems only
  • Exact terms in your quote before you agree
  • Repairs aren’t guaranteed — we tell you straight

Fitted new roof to conservatory

“Fantastic job. They quickly identified that the existing roof had an insufficient fall and not enough support beams to prevent the roof sagging and pooling. They proposed removing the existing roof and timber work replacing with new beams and a new felt roof. It looks great and we are very happy with the end result. They completed the work in one day and left the site tidy afterwards. Id have no hesitation in recommending”
